Terrible tragedy. An old mate who was in his mid 20s decided not to go on a day trip with the rest of his family, he lost his whole family both parents and his sister.

Probably not great for life expectancy.

Several occasions going back about a decade I stopped stabby kids squaring up to each other from getting stabby. In hindsight I probably shouldn't have done so and if it happened again today I would just call the Police and walk on by TBH.

Went back into a burning hotel to look for a small child, whose mother couldn't find her. Happy to say the child turned up outside and we barely got past the hallway. Just seemed like the right thing to do at the time.

Emotional......Two years supporting my wife, who had a rare cancer and subsequently lost her fight. She was incredibly brave. Pain, needles, hospitals. Leading my (then) 9 year old son out of the abyss and into a new world where we can celebrate his mother and move forward together. WHU has been the way back.

Physical.....Batting against a few of the quickest bowlers in the world. Great record against Garner.

Saved a womans life who was struggling out at sea in Menorca this year. Almost lost my own life in the process.

Was very proud of myself after I recovered.

All ended well I should add but an interesting lesson about the power of moving water

The only way to get the canoe out was come back with a chainsaw and cut the tree.

/stupidest/most panicky ignorant

Diving under a canoe that was overturned and wedged under against a tree that fallen across the length of a smaller river to find my cousin when I could not see her.

She had been carried under and further down and was fine in the end.

Probably did it because I felt responsible - it was one my first time times sitting stern as a kid on a decent river and did not make shore/tell us to bail fast enough when I came round a corner and saw the tree.

Re: What's the Bravest thing you've ever done.
Probably the bravest thing a mate of mine did last week was put up with an hour and a half taxi drive to his hotel in Croatia, although he was shitting himself! Picked up at airport by the only CAB, driver didn't speak English and shot along mountain roads at a fair speed on his mobile phone. Then he pulls into a cemetery car park, pitch black. A large vehicle with blacked out windows pulls up and Bluto from Popeye gets out and the drivers swap. Same old as this driver swerves all over the place at speed on his mobile phone until eventually they get to the hotel. My mate said he could only think of "Taken" and had visions of him and his wife being murdered and his son trafficked and all he had to smack the bloke was his mobile. Of course at what point do you try and hit the driver because all they obviously did was change shifts!!! You need a particular set of skills top be in this situation!!
